Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud wanted in Italy
According to Sports Mediaset Napoli and AC Milan are monitoring Olivier Giroud’s situation at Arsenal.
Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is understood to be on the lookout for a striker with star forward Arkadiusz Milik out injured.
But they face competition from Milan whose boss Vincenzo Montella reportedly wants to provide competition for striker Carlos Bacca.
Although Giroud’s current contract runs out in 2018, the forward recently revealed that he has been unhappy with his current situation at Arsenal.
Giroud told French newspaper L’Equipe:
“I see my future at Arsenal until the date my contract ends.
“I feel good here and I want to play at the highest level for as long as possible.
“I still feel I’ve got the gas to do it. After, for sure I’d prefer to be playing, but it will be for me to find my place.
“I won’t lie, there have been times I’ve been disappointed and not happy with my situation. But the coach knows that. He’s the one who makes the choices.”
