Arsene Wenger takes Arsenal to Wales on Saturday knowing nothing less than a win against Swansea will seriously dent the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes.
A dramatic comeback to earn a 3-3 draw against Bournemouth was not enough to prevent Arsenal sliding out of the top four last week, with leaders Chelsea still eight points ahead of Wenger’s men despite a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.
Arsenal made another comeback against Preston to secure passage to the fourth round of the FA Cup, but Gunners fans have been alarmed at the poor starts made in their last two games.
Swansea seem like the perfect opponents as they sit 19th in the table.
However, Paul Clement won his first league game in charge and will be eager to prove his credentials against Wenger in front of a hopeful Liberty Stadium crowd.
Swansea host Arsenal at Liberty Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 3pm (UK) on Saturday January 14.
